With our boutique in the 6th arrondissement in Paris, and our direct sales website, this year we wanted to give our customers the opportunity to talk about their families, their desires and what they like in their neighborhood and at Marie Puce.
We are delighted to be able to share these slices of life with you each month in our blog # Client Portraits.
For our first Portrait, we are happy to introduce you to Malo and her children who were willing to answer our questions.
If you are interested in being part of our next #CustomerPortraits, let's meet in store or contact us on the email contact@mariepuce.com.
Malo and her children
Today it is 24°C in Paris. Full sun. It's the hottest day in a long time and we are very excited to do our first client portrait interview.
We have an appointment at the store with Malo, the mother, and her three children Gaïa, 8 years old, Livia, 6 years old and little Cosimo, 2 years and a half. They are coming back from the Jardin du Luxembourg which is just a few steps away and they are waiting for me with their scooters in front of the store.
The store is closed because of the confinement so we turn on the lights and as soon as they arrive, their laughter and their good mood put a joyful atmosphere.
We put the scooters in a corner, we take out the games to occupy Cosimo... and our small interview can begin.
Malo, Can you introduce yourself?
I am Franco-Italian and Parisian. I was employed for 15 years for a cosmetics brand, and when Cosimo arrived I decided to start freelancing as a writer. I mainly write content for brands and especially for beauty brands.
Most of all, I am a mother of three children and with my freelance activity, I take the opportunity to pick them up every day at school, do homework together in the evening and spend more time with them.
For how long have you been living in the neighborhood?
I moved to the neighborhood 17 years ago, at the end of 2003. Before that, I was in the 16th, in La Muette. I grew up and did all my studies there and then, when it came time to leave the family nest, I came here and never moved. I've been in the same building for 17 years!
I really like the neighborhood life and I find that people are friendly. It's a very cosmopolitan and cultural neighborhood, a multicultural atmosphere that you can also find at school.
And it's a very lively neighborhood with lots of nice stores and good restaurants...
Do you have a good plan to share about going out in the neighborhood?
M.: We like the Bistrot Des Amis, they are very nice with children and the menu is very simple and very good. I also like Maido restaurant, for me the best Vietnamese restaurant in the neighborhood.
G. I like coming to Marie Puce, to see Olivia and also to have lunch at Bistrot Des Amis. I love their fries and candy...
And on weekends, what is your favorite thing to do with your family?
M.: In the neighborhood, we often go to the Jardin du Luxembourg, which is beautiful in any season and the kids love it because they get to meet all their friends from school to play. We also like to walk around Paris with the kids because we are fans of street art in our family. I'm crazy about flashing the "Space Invaders" that are hidden in every neighborhood of Paris. The other thing I like to do with the kids is to go to flea markets. I am very flea market-addicted. In Paris or in the countryside, they come with us and they always fall for toys and books... Next project: to have a family garage sale so that the girls can sell the games they no longer use... when it's possible again!
When and how did you discover Marie Puce?
M.: I think I discovered the store when I was pregnant with Gaïa, 9 years ago. That was a long time ago! And I still have at home the baby clothes I bought at that time.
What do you like the most in the Marie Puce boutique?
M.: I am a fan of all the Liberty blouses that I regularly buy for Livia and Gaïa. I also love the boy's collection: only at your shop I can find nice blouses for boys, both classic and modern. When Cosimo was little, I loved to dress him in bloomers and rompers, in the retro style.
G. G.: The whole Mailegs collection and the Liberty dresses.
L.: I prefer the pink shorts (Editor's note: the Rio Raspberry shorts).
Your last purchase at Marie Puce?
M: The Aube blouse in Betsy & Berry Rose.
Your favorite Liberty?
M.: The Liberty Betsy in all colors and also the brand new Liberty of this year, the Liberty Daydream Blue.
G. The one with the little blue flowers (Editor's note: Liberty Eloise Blue).
L.: And me, the pink one! (Editor's note: Liberty Poppy & Daisy Framboise)
If you had to describe Marie Puce's universe in one word?
M.: "Timeless", "Liberty".
G. Super", "Formidable", "Beautiful
What product or service do you think Marie Puce is missing?
M.: I would love jumpsuits, for girls and boys.
