Marie Puce is the story of collections created in Paris and nourished by the beauty of this city.
Every day this romantic city inspires us: we love its artistic and historical treasures, its neighborhood atmospheres, its parks and secret gardens...
So, in this delicate period, we wanted to open the blog #Paris Secret to share with you our favorite places for nice family walks. A monthly appointment to discover Paris with your kids. We will be delighted if you share with us your best pictures of your discoveries in Paris on Instagram #parissecretbymariepuce
The Maison Rose
For our first Paris' secret, we give you an appointment in Montmartre.
Get away from the touristy areas, stroll through the pretty alleys (avenue Junot, Villa Léandre, allée des brouillards, rue de l'abreuvoir, rue des saules...) and discover the little hidden treasures of this district.
We love the Maison Rose. First for the color that inspires us so much and is one of our favorite colors. Secondly, because it has been home to many famous personalities, such as Picasso, Modigliani, Édith Piaf, Barbara, Charles Aznavour, Jacques Brel and Albert Camus.
There is always a village atmosphere, and time has stopped in this historical district loved by artists and poets.
Did you know that it was built in 1850, and that it owes its pink color to Laure Gargallo, model for Picasso and friend of the famous artists of the hillock?
Frequented by many artists, this pretty little village house has been the inspiration for several painters such as Maurice Utrillo who made it known to the world in a painting from 1900: "La Petite Maison Rose".
And even if its restaurant is currently closed, it is really worth the detour... and always makes young and old dream of its beautiful pink color.
